Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass starts life right here in the USA. Southwest Greens is part of Shaw Industries (a Berkshire Hathaway company), and all our turf fibers are extruded and tufted in Shaw’s American factories. Our modern production lines feature automation, Lean/Six Sigma oversight, and internal testing labs to achieve industry-leading standards. When you arrange to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can be confident that you’re installing American-made grass built to last.

American Manufacturing: We produce turf in Shaw’s American plants such as Dalton, Georgia. Ongoing upgrades in Shaw’s factories maintain fiber precision and quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, our process covers every manufacturing phase. That enables us to maintain uniform fiber construction and appearance across production runs, quick turnaround for service requests, and complete tracking to resolve any defect efficiently.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf arrives, it’s put through rigorous in-house and field tests. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to replicate long-term wear. The turf is checked for fade resistance, strength, and play response, so your yard or putting green stays vibrant and realistic for years.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We continually refine our turf to be more natural-looking and durable. Some of our latest developments include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: The patented Bolt cross-section gives our turf its edge. It stands taller and springs back better than ordinary turf, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its unique shape and curved angles reduce shininess, giving the turf a natural matte finish.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer HydroChill® infill beads that can cool your turf by 30–50°F. This simple water-activated technology is ideal for hot climates and full-sun areas, keeping the surface cool for people and pets alike.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are engineered to drain waste quickly and resist staining. Pets can play without ruining your yard. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste prevents odor buildup and dead patches.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you design turf with embedded branding or designs. From branded backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this capability lets you design without limits.

PERSONALIZED TO YOU

We consult with designers, golf pros, and customers to ensure our artificial turf meets real needs. Feedback from golfers led us to introduce a new “spring green” tee turf color that matches natural grass perfectly. Little details like this help our turf lead in Vancouver residential and commercial spaces.

We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. It’s an art when done right. Our synthetic turf is built to mimic PGA-standard roll and bounce. That’s why pros like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam endorse Southwest Greens products. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can tweak anything — from pile height to infill — to fit your project.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

At Southwest Greens, we never stop innovating. Expect groundbreaking updates in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf has already announced that customers will help pick upcoming field designs and that a new “Game ON” turf model (made in Calhoun, GA) will launch in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t share all the info now, but trust us when we say, our R&D team is hard at work on the next generation of artificial grass.

Future turf will combine science with customer-driven input, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
